Nigeria is home to several national parks that offer visitors the chance to explore the country’s diverse flora and fauna. It is also home to over 350 species of birds. One of the main attractions of Yankari National Park is the Yankari Game Reserve, which covers an area of about 710 square kilometers. The reserve is home to a large population of elephants, which are often seen wandering through the park in large herds. Visitors can also see other wildlife like baboons, buffalo, warthogs, and various species of antelopes. Wikki Warm Springs is a naturally occurring spring with crystal-clear water. The spring has a constant temperature of about 31°C and is open to visitors for swimming and relaxation. Kainji Lake

Kainji National Park:  The park intersects three States: Niger, Kwara, and Kebbi. The park is located around Kainji Lake. The park is named after the Kainji Lake, which was created in 1968 during the construction of the Kainji Dam on the Niger River. Kainji National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, baboons, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and several species of primates. The park is also home to over 300 species of birds, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers. Tourists can explore the beautiful serene environment on foot or by vehicle. There are several walking trails and game drives available. The park also offers boating and fishing opportunities on Kainji Lake. Located in the Kainji National Park, Zugurma Game Reserve is home to several large mammals, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and several species of antelopes. Okomu National Park: Looking for a place with over 150 species of birds? Then Okomu National Park is the ideal place to visit. Okomu National Park is located in Edo State and is home to a large population of endangered animals, including the white-throated monkey and the forest elephant. There are also several tree houses in Okomu National Park that visitors can stay in to experience the beauty of the rainforest up close. The tree houses in Okomu National Park are built on stilts and are usually located high up in the trees, providing a unique view of the rainforest canopy. One of the most popular flowers seen in Okomu National Park is the Red hot poker (Kniphofia reflex), also known as Torch Lily or Poker Plant. Another popular flower seen in Okomu National Park is the African Tulip Tree (Spathodea campanulata). This tree is native to tropical Africa and is known for its large, showy, bell-shaped flowers that range in color from bright orange to deep red. The African Tulip Tree blooms throughout the year, but its peak flowering period is from April to June.

Omo Forest Reserve is a protected area located in Ogun State, Nigeria. In the southwest of Nigeria, near the border with the Republic of Benin. The Reserve covers an area of about 1,000 square kilometers and is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning landscapes. The Reserve is home to several wildlife species, including monkeys, antelopes, duikers, and many bird species. It is also home to several plant species, including several rare and endangered species. The Reserve is surrounded by several rivers and creeks like the Olu River which is the largest river in the Reserve. One of the main attractions of the Omo Forest Reserve is its pristine beaches, including the famous Iwopin Beach. These beaches are ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxation. The Reserve also contains several waterfalls and rivers, including the Agura Waterfall, Owe Waterfall, and Olu River. These water bodies are great for water activities like swimming, fishing, and boating.
